[#97] Ability to add 'Observers' to a tracker item via cc:

Description

Summary:

Detailed description

A glaring omission to FusionForge is the inability to add e-mail address to a tracker item so non-members can be informed of the bug/item. This might be called 'An Observer' and could be based on a cc: e-mail address.

Revamped the CC: code that was in the contrib directory with some success. Next version I will try to expand to allow non-members of FF to be added to CC list.

Actually, the ability to 'cc' someone who is not a member of the project would be very useful in our organization. We do not want or need all users to be members of all projects, but we have instances where we want to inform certain people of particular issues.

FF deveopers - any further thoughts or developments on this feature request, Seems we've suggested a few ways to prevent the issue of spam becoming a problem.

Thanks for the comments Luis and Alain.

I was thinking more on the lines of a pull-down menu much like the "Assigned to:' feature, but rather than limiting it to project members, we'd need the ability to add any FusionForge member. Perhaps this could be a project setting so as not to open all projects to this new feature by default (would require the project admins to go and turn this on).

I would implement it as the readmine does, it just offers check boxes with users involved in the project. To solve the spamming problem I would offer this feature only to project's members.

If a user is interested in a ticket, then he just have to create an account and monitor the ticket.

I think that allowing a user to add an email address in cc without being member could produce spamming problems.
